Travel for me is very contemplative – if I can drive. Something about a long drive lets me let go of thoughts and absorb the scenery. If I were more awake, I could do that anytime, anywhere, but I mostly have to be taken out of my usual element to have that experience. Today’s drive will be lots of mountains and valleys, mostly valleys with the mountains alongside. I get to see how far spring has come as I go north. Here the dogwoods are in full bloom and heading toward green, but I’ll bet that’s not the case as I get toward the Mason Dixon Line. I won’t be crossing it but will be near. So talley ho until I write again. It depends on whether the hotel has free internet 🙂
