I’m having a nice break today from my brain trying to figure everything out. I met a friend at Rembrandt’s for lunch, and we talked for hours. About all kinds of things, but not trying to figure it all out, just floating from topic to topic, impression to impression, with a a few silences when the words ran out. I’m too often driven to understand, to grasp, but not today. Today had summer-like temperatures, with birds and toddlers and a breeze and meandering conversation on the patio. I feel that somehow it all makes sense, and if it does, my understanding doesn’t affect it. So I was content to be and enjoy and that was enough.
Sounds like a great day! I want a day like that!
