. . . . one step back. I’m trying to let go of expectations and live in the present. But so far I can only do that some of the time and not all of the time. The present is so much more spacious than the past or future. The past can’t be changed and the future can’t be controlled. When I live in the now instead of two months from now, I’m not stressed or worried or planning, planning, planning. That’s not to say that planning isn’t good, but it shouldn’t go on every moment.
My worrying doesn’t make good things happen for me. My actions can have an effect, but not my worrying.
So I resolve yet again to stay in the present, detach from outcomes, and be grateful. Gratitude buoys me up for keeping the other two.
